We’ll visit Saladin Citadel, also known as The Citadel of Cairo, which is a fortification from the Islamic Middle Ages in Cairo, Egypt. Salah ad-Din (Saladin) built it, and later Egyptian kings expanded it. For approximately 700 years, from the 13th to the 19th century, it served as Egypt’s capital and the home of its kings. Its strategic position on a promontory of the Mokattam hills close to Cairo’s center grants it a commanding vantage point over the city and control of its skyline. It was one of the most impressive and ambitious military fortification projects of its day when it was built. These days, it is a conserved historical monument with mosques and museums. Muhammad Ali Pasha ordered the construction of the Alabaster Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, between 1830 and 1848. It is a mosque that can be found in Cairo’s Citadel.

At the end of the tour, we’ll visit the Famous bazaar and market Khan el-Khalili which is located in Cairo’s ancient district. The bazaar district, which was first a hub of commerce during the Mamluk era and was given its name after one of its several old caravanserais, has since grown to become one of Cairo’s top tourist destinations for both Egyptians and foreign visitors. Additionally, it is the location of numerous Egyptian craftsmen and workshops that produce traditional crafts and trinkets. You will go ahead to discover the Citadel of Saladin, the seat of the rule for 700 years, and one of the fortresses dating back to the Islamic period. It was built by Saladin Al-Ayoubi. It houses the most famous mosques in Egypt, the Mosque of Muhammad Ali or the Alabaster Mosque
